Ortensia Visconti

 

Ortensia Visconti is a novelist, a documentary film maker and a former war reporter. She reported from Afghanistan in 2001 traveling with the Northern Alliance documenting the fall of Kabul and Iraq during the American invasion. Her most recent book is L’Idée Fixe, a series of twelve short stories looking at twelve of the world’s modern cities, including Kabul, Nairobi, and Shanghai among others, through the lens of sex. It was published by Naive in France and one of the stories, Toyko, was published in Desire, an anthology of literature’s sexiest stories edited by the Erotic Review and Mariella Fostrup in 2016.
