Short Story Competition – Final Update

It’s over. This year’s short story competition has finally come to a close. The results have been announced, the stories published, and the winners have all been fed and watered at Erotic Towers.

Perhaps not the louche experience they were hoping for/dreading, but then there’s the prizes they bore off. U’Luvka Vodka most generously upgraded Elaine Fowler’s miniature to a full sized bottle, so we’re glad to say that it wasn’t completely dwarfed by first prize winner Will Burgess‘ Magnum. That’s  one and a half litres of vodka, Will, please drink stylishly, like a Polish count, if not responsibly.

Our second prize winner Jenny Walcott, and a partner of choice, will be treated by Proud Camden to a no doubt fabulous dinner and cabaret in one of their central London venues.

We’d like to say a very special thank you to our sponsors U’Luvka and Proud Camden for their generous contributions. And we’d also like to thank again everyone who entered this time round.

It’s been a fantastic competition, and we’re very grateful to all those who entered. But Time’s winged chariot, and all – the next student competition will be posted before you know it. So keep your eyes peeled and fingers poised over those keys. After all, as Papa Hemingway said, ‘There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.’
